January Jottings

January is always our month for reflection and inspiration. Spent mostly in the studio I'm looking at new cloth and clothing styles for the year, planning production and applying to shows we will attend throughout the year. (see events calendar)

I'm so excited about some of the new cloth we have arriving later in the season - some beautiful wool/linen mixes for the warmer months from Moons and some beautiful soft merino mixes from a Scottish mill new to us  - but they will be revealed at a later date. Alongside sourcing new cloth the linings have been on my mind, especially the use of fleece for our gloves. We had been using recycled fleece but this was still didn't sit well with our sustainability goals, so, new for 2026 is a fab 100% cotton fleece which is fully biodegradable - yay!

For now - Karen, my fabulous local maker has been busy sewing accessories to replenish all those sold in the run up to Christmas. We've got some beautiful new caps in some gorgeous spring colours as well as slouch bags and fingerless gloves.
